You do not need a lot of bells and whistles for your website. You just need to have samples of your writing in a professional display. You should have both the writing copied and pasted on your website as well as a link to the live article. Be sure to state that you are including these as samples of your writing so that you do not face copyright infringement in cases where you sold your article to a website.

Only include articles with bylines when you are building a portfolio. Ghost writing does not count. And for good measure, be sure that you only include articles for which you were paid if you are posting online articles into your portfolio.
