When it comes to creating profitable digital products, you’ll want to begin by analyzing what is already selling.

This sounds like common sense, right? Yet you may be surprised at how many people overlook this step and go on to create digital products in formats that no one cares about.

This is a fantastic way to gauge overall demand of a niche.  By looking for groups that consist of active members who are avidly discussing the niche, you’ll be able to quickly find an unlimited number of hot niches and then qualify them. 

Start by searching Facebook using relevant keywords under the “Find Groups” tab.  If I were looking for groups pertaining to low carb recipes, I’d type in something like: “Low Carb Diet”, or “Low Carb Recipes”.

Look for groups that are active and include at least 1,000 members. While smaller, more segmented groups can also include profitable niches, when you’re just starting out it’s wise to focus on creating digital products that appeal to a wider audience.

Don’t spam the groups you join!  You’re there to gauge interest and to spy on conversations to determine what people are most interested in. So, pay attention to recurring questions and threads that include common, ongoing discussion. 

Facebook groups are a goldmine of helpful information that you can use to form the outline for your digital product.

Pinterest is a great resource for those who are looking for digital product ideas that sell, or trend-influenced product categories.

With this social media giant, catering to over 180 million active monthly users, you’re able to follow popular boards that are focused on niches you’re evaluating to see what people are sharing and what they are saying about it.

You can also use Pinterest’s general search to discover new niches, quickly gauging popularity based on the number of followers an account has or the number of re-pins (shares) on any given board.

Chapter 1 – What is Motivation?

Justin, who is in his thirties, and who has two kids to feed and a household to manage finds himself unemployed. Desperate, he turns to stealing from others. One day he crosses paths with a wealthy businessperson who is holding a large amount of money in this wallet. Seeing his chance, Justin takes out a knife and darts toward the man.

In the above situation, Justin intends to point a knife at the wealthy businessman and steal his money. However, Justin's motivation is to feed his starving children. Motivation is a bigger set than intention. It is the real reason behind all of our actions.

Therefore, in the above example, motivation can be roughly defined as the actual reason or push that made Justin take action and think what he thinks. We can conclude that motivation is a large version of intention that goes beyond our immediate wants or desires.

The origin of motivation has two theories, the Natural vs. Rational theory and the Content vs. Process theory. Let’s take some time to explore both to get a better understanding of what each says on the matter.

Natural vs. Rational Theories

Nature has given man excellent survival instincts. Because of this, whatever actions we take, whether consciously or otherwise, are ultimately aimed at helping us to survive, or also known as ‘making the evolutionary cut.’

On the other hand, through observation, skills, and experience, we have achieved the power of rational thinking and being able to make good decisions. These powers of the mind are not distributed equally among the population. Not everyone has the same footing when it comes to possessing rational-centric powers.

Advocates of each theory argue that it is their claim that wins over the other. Nature, while providing us with our survival instincts extended its application to getting motivated. One's motivations are derived from one's instinct to survive.

On the other hand, the rational theory advocates claim that everyone has their own set of skills depending on how much they have worked toward it. Motivation in such a scenario is derived from one's experiences and talents.

The Marketing Landscape of 2019

Some of the hot trends of 2019 will continue, while others will also start to take center stage.

Search engine optimization — not keywords, clusters

SEO will now be more about clusters, not keywords. This has been happening more and more in the last few years, but the algorithms are now being specifically set to look for groupings of words, not just isolated words.

Commonly referred to as semantic support, the algorithms will look at words in relation to one another to determine the meaning of a page and the relevance to a search query.

For example, the word "bachelor" actually has four different meanings:

* An unmarried man
* A person with a Bachelor’s degree
* A young knight
* A young male fur seal

If you see the sentence, "The bachelor lay on the beach," there is no clue as to which of the four meanings is intended.

On the other hand, if you say, "The animal behaviorists will be studying the bachelors on the beach at Peel for the next six months and determining their hunting and fishing patterns," then we know that the last meaning is intended. The other words give us clues so that even though the word "seal" is not mentioned, we can still infer it.

There are still arguments over short- versus long-form content. No one can agree on the ideal article or blog post length. Having said that, the longer an article is (650 to 700 words, for example), the more words will be clustered together, including "seal", and the more clues the search engine will get. About 500 words should be enough to get the point across if writers are really pressed for time and struggling to keep their site or blog updated.

You’re intrigued and come back and buy.

Retargeting sealed the deal that you would buy from them.
