This is the most important activity you're going to do, because your website won't make you a single thin dime if no one visits it. So you need to build traffic. And this is where your marketing and advertising comes into effect.

Now you have to be careful here too because it's easy to get stuck in information overload again. And what works for one person, may not work for another person. So if I'm using press releases to promote my business, it's not necessarily the best way for you to promote your business.

So your marketing becomes a bit of a trial and error process. You have to go out and try everything and see what works for you. Don't be afraid to try things. It doesn't matter if some tells you safe lists don't work. If you try one and find out that it works really well for yo u, then go for it. Use safe lists like crazy. Or maybe you find that you're really good at advertising in ezines, or doing joint ventures, or using Google AdWords, or classified ads in magazines. So it doesn't really matter what you try, but try lots of things so you can develop a marketing toolbox that you're comfortable with and it works for you.

And this is where your business gets exciting. Because once you've developed a marketing system that works for one website, you can start plugging other websites into your system and build your business exponentially.

It doesn't mean that you're going to advertise your internet marketing website in the same places as your model train website, what I mean is you have a system that you can plug into.

As an example, maybe your marketing campaign, your marketing system includes the launch a new website with a press release, Google AdWords, working some joint venture partners, and maybe some ezine ads.
